History

The original Fat Man was a man who was fat. Joe was his name. Joe was a Great Guy who enjoyed cooking and eating great food. In the 1970s Joe started a restaurant called Fatman's Got'em in a building at 2374 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, New York. Today that building is Checkers Restaurant. Joe had no children. Joe's wife was Fay. She had a daughter named Shelia, Her husband was Jim. Shelia and Jim ran the restaurant for many years until they sold it to Kevin, his father Karl, and a guy named Paul. They changed the name to Fatman's Pizza. Kevin bought out Karl and Paul and ran the restaurant for many years until he closed. Soon after Brad and his wife Kim started a new restaurant called Fat Man Pizza in the same building where it is today. Brad then moved the business to 2512 Sheridan Drive, in the Town of Tonawanda, New York. Today that building is Romeo & Juliet's Bakery & Caffe. Brad ran the restaurant for many years until he closed. Few years latter Brad opened a new restaurant back where he was the first time with lady named Dena. This restaurant was called Fat Man Pizzeria. Now we have Fatman's Pizza owned by Jeff in the same building next to Valint's Meats at 2712 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, New York 14150. Over the years the name has changed from Fatman's Got'em to Fatman's Pizza to Fat Man Pizza to Fat Man Pizzeria and presently Fatman's Pizza. One thing that has always stayed the same is the amazing food!
